Group affiliated business RIVOR Advisory streamlines admissions process for candidate psychologists, for Australian Higher Education Providers.

A prerequisite to practicing as a psychologist in Australia, is a Master of Psychology degree from any of the 43 Higher Education Providers (HEPs) across the country. Every year, there are over 5,000 applicants for these degrees, submitting multiple references to their chosen institutions.

Historically, the reference submission process was managed by a university using a home-grown system that tracked reference acceptances and rejections. As this system reached its limits and was to be decommissioned, a leading Student Admission body stepped in to propose a new system to cater for all 43 HEPs. In 2023, they engaged RIVOR to design and build the new system, to be commissioned in time for the 2023/4 intake. It is built around Zendesk ticketing software, modified to support specialized workflows, and with an integrated payment gateway. The 2023/4 intake was satisfactorily run by RIVOR, with student references tracked, actioned and reported on within agreed timelines.

RIVOR is now transferring operation of the system to the Student Admission body and will continue to provide support for the 2024/5 intake.
