ERP integrates Spartan Cameras to bolster anti-poaching capabilities at a high-security rhino sanctuary.

Elephants, Rhinos & People (ERP) integrates Spartan Cameras to bolster anti-poaching capabilities at a high-security rhino sanctuary. ERP, the Group’s affiliated nonprofit, is dedicated to protecting Southern Africa’s elephants and rhinos in the wild. ERP recently deployed sophisticated equipment from Spartan Cameras, to fortify its anti-poaching strategy at a 15,000-acre game reserve in South Africa. These robust motion-detection cameras are placed throughout the reserve to alert rangers to suspicious activity, allowing them to dramatically amplify their existing capability and improve incident response times. The integration of AWS Greengrass IoT with ML Inference further improves system accuracy.

‘We’re thrilled that our Spartan Cameras, powered by AWS technology and integrated into ERP’s conservation efforts, are having a meaningful impact by helping prevent rhino poaching,’ said Wei Shi, CEO of Spartan Camera.By partnering with Spartan Cameras and leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology, ERP not only protects endangered species but also empowers local communities, creating a sustainable and effective conservation model.
